 L'ambiance Dance
Centre was founded on the basis that everyone can learn to dance and benefit greatly from the Physical, Mental, Emotional
and Social enhancements this activity offers. In today's fast paced world, dancing allows for stress relief, muscle
toning, strength and flexibility, ease and confidence socially, as well as a method of meeting and making new friends.
Mr.
Wahab, our director, has carefully selected a professional team of dancers/teachers renowned for superior talent,
dedication and commitment to excellence. Rest assured, the teachers chosen for you are the best in the business.
 The
teachers of L'ambiance Dance Centre are fully certified in both International Style Standard and Latin as well as American
style (social) Smooth and Rhythm. With many years of competitive and social dance experience, our teachers are capable of
teaching anyone, at any level, to dance for all occasions. Our teachers are dynamic, outgoing, knowledgeable, competent,
attentive, patient and caring.
Your Dance Teachers
Mr. Al Wahab is recognized for his unique teaching
ability, creativity and high level of professionalism. He is a Master
Examiner and an Adjudicator with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA), Certified by the World Professional
Dance Teachers Association(WPDTA) and a member of the Canadian Dancesport Federation(CDF), BDFI and ODDSO.
A former professional competitor and
Provincial Champion, Mr. Wahab is also the winner of numerous Top Teacher and Top Executive Awards.
As a Teacher, he uses
his background and interest in science, physiology and psychology as well as his ever developing creativity to make
learning easier and with greater understanding.
Having trained hundreds of students as well as teachers, he will
personally ensure you are receiving excellent quality dance instructions.(Seen in movie: Take the Lead)
 Miss Carla is a dedicated
instructor with an unwavering passion for Dance and Instructing. Winner of the prestigious Top Teacher Award and a
member of CDF, she is a
creative and caring lady who instills confidence in her students.
Miss Carla has over 10 years instructing Ballroom and
Latin Dance in both the International Standard and Latin and American Smooth and Rhythm, and this combined with over 15
years coaching Ice Dance and Figure Skating makes her an invaluable asset to our staff.
A former competitive dancer, she
will ensure your lessons are enjoyable, productive and rewarding. (Seen in movie: Take the Lead)
 Miss Nazrin is a graduate of the Baku Choreographic School and former dancer
with the Azerbaijan Dance Ensemble.
With her background in folk, jazz, hip hop, and ballet, she naturally transitioned to International Ballroom and Latin Dance.
Her years of teaching with the Children's Dance Theatre along with extensive Professional Training in Dancesport, combined
with her enjoyment of teaching, makes learning with Miss Nazrin an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
 Mr. Alex
has a passionate and enduring love of dance.
He has studied various forms of dance and has great fun sharing his knowledge enthusiastically with his students. He also enjoys performing shows for
private functions such as weddings and corporate events.
Alex is patient, gregarious, conscientious and sincere. His students truly enjoy their lessons with him and appreciate his dedication and enthusiasm.
Miss Matilda: an Armenian
belly dancer, has been belly dancing ever since she could remember
The daughter a professional belly dancer, Matilda
started dancing at the age of six. She has performed in many Middle Eastern restaurants, multicultural events and
festivals such as 1001 Nights, Karoon, weddings, parties, Persian new years and so forth.
Having also helped tutor
students at the
University of
Toronto with their belly dancing, Matilda is passionate about dancing. "I will
be looking forward to teaching anyone to develop and enjoy this same passion. See you all soon!"
 Mr. Christopher: When Christopher started dancing 11 years ago he never imagined that it would become his life’s
passion and career.
As a competitor he has participated in many dance competition events around the world. In the last
couple years as a professional, Christopher has had the pleasure of teaching many people and has had the opportunity to
pass on his knowledge that he has acquired from his countless years of training with some of the top teachers in the world.
